I release today a new version of my XNA viewer. Take a look here:

There is a lot of improvements ;-)

First, to install it, you must have:

The latest version of DirectX 9.0,

XNA Refresh 1.0,

And, of course, Project Hoshimi SDK

Then, download PHXNA Viewer. (9Mo).

Unzip this download in the viewers directory (%ProjectHoshimiSDK folder%\viewers).

Launch Project Hoshimi, go to Options section and select PHXNAViewer as your default viewer.

Then, ENJOY ;-)))

What's new in this version?

On the bottom left, you can see a mini map of the tissue. There is a new button which allow you to show/hide points infos.

You can now select a Nanobot by right clicking on it. On the bottom right of the screen, if you click on the Selected Bot button, you'll see in real time informations about this bot. Clicking on it and the camera will be centered on it.

You can see now streams (but performances are not good and I still don't like it).

Explosions are not yet implemented.

I hope you'll appreciate this new viewer and if you have any comments, please, tell me.

(I'm also very interested in the framerate).

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-05-04T15:58:11Z</dcterms:modified>

Scoring rules and who is the winner in a PvP game

A new article that explains score calculation and who is the winner in a Player vs Player game:
Read it on www.project-hoshimi.com web site.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-18T16:06:36Z</dcterms:modified>

Which file I must upload?

If you are in Expert Mode, you know that you must upload your .dll file. In this category, you have access to all kind of Nanobots (including Wall and IPCreator), all their methods (like OpenIP, ForceAutoDestruction, etc.). Try it (even if you are a developer) because you can lean a lot with it.
In Pros and Developers categories, you can now choose the AI for Pierre.
In Developers category, you have now access to the old CSAutomate: it's very usefull if you want to test a lot of strategy during the night:

Prepare your game: select a strategy, a mission (and evantually a second player and Pierre AI),
At it to the Automate section.
Do it again with another strategy or the same on another mission or the same,
And so on.
When you have prepared all your games, clic on Start button in Automate section.

It will launch all the game, one by one, in a console application, and save the Replays and the Results. You can go to sleep (or eat) when games are playing. You don't see anything on the screen but the game are really running.
To look at the Results, go in Replays menu (Main -> Replays) and clic on the Result you're interested. You'll see all the statistics like your score, details about nanobots remaining at the end of the game, etc.
I hope you'll enjoy this RC2 and please, give me your feedbacks.
Download the SDK RC2
Richard Clark.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-20T16:16:51Z</dcterms:modified>

And the winner is...

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-08-23T07:54:42Z</dcterms:modified>
